Are we a good fit?

FAQS

Do you take insurance?

Yes. Currently we are taking new clients with the following insurance:

MODA

AETNA

PACIFIC SOURCE

United

Blue Cross

Providence

We do not take medicare or medicaid or their bridge plans.

Do you offer weekly therapy?

No. Asanapy Functional Psychiatry offers psychiatric medication management through a functional lens. Megan is a trained psychedelic integration therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Therapist. Her approach is client centered and these techniques inform every appointment. She does not however see clients for therapy as a stand alone treatment. You may however need a longer appointment at times and supportive services can be offered as a part of ongoing medication management. Just let us know when booking appointments if you require extra time.

Do you prescribe benzodiazepines, such as Xanax or Klonopin?

Not very often. There are times during ongoing treatment when short-term rescue medication may be indicated, however this is rare at this practice. If you are considering our practice, please know that this class of medication will not be part of your initial treatment plan and we are likely not a good fit. (If you are working with an oncologist or working through a health crisis, please do let us know as we realize that these medications may be very helpful during times of crisis.)

Are you currently Telehealth only?

No. We are offering Telehealth services at this time for all services except ketamine assisted therapy.

Do you charge for emails?

Sometimes. Due to an overwhelming number of emails, we have made the decision to focus our resources on direct care and encourage our clients to get organized prior to each appointment. What this means is that any medication requests or pharmacy changes need to be done during appointment times. The admin staff checks email Monday-Thursday and will answer non-clinical questions and schedule appointments. There is no charge for administrative emails. Emails requiring clinical decision making will be billed to your insurance and you will be charged a co-pay. If your insurance does not reimburse for emails, please let us know and we will provide you with a fee schedule. Ultimately, you are responsible for understanding your benefits.
